3: Nanda 3.1 (21) Kamma (Kamma Sutta) Thus has it been made known. At one time the Blessed One was residing near Sāvatthī, at the Jeta Grove in Anāthapiṇḍika’s Park. It occurred that a certain monk was seated nearby the Blessed One in a cross-legged posture, his body being stiff and erect whilst enduring tremendous-pounding pains, extremely piercing and severe that were the direct results of old kamma; throughout the endeavor he remained mindful and alert, regardless of suffering.
