What is a Buddha-field?
A Buddha-field has different connotations given its context; it can be the multitudinous universes and worlds within Buddhist cosmology as depicted in many of these verses. It also connotes a Buddhas’ influence within the very Mind-sphere of sentient beings. Also, it can relay the sphere of Bodhi-influence within a Mind-school—where the developing gotra is nurtured. So, a Buddha’s sphere of influence (Buddha-field) encompasses many and diverse dimensions.
