Cutting down the tree of birth, death and rebirth

Unless you are completely disenchanted with the cycle of birth, death and rebirth at the deepest level of your subconsciousness, the sublime and liberating light of the Buddhadharma will be lost on you.

Into darkness absolute
into the darkness down
no sense no self no thought no sound
then something most profound

light spontaneous
white like phosphorus

Not a dream, aware awake
Nothing caused the earth to shake
Nothing’s changed
All’s the same

No wonder turtles smile.
