Archway of the Black Dragons

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over a tranquil garden, Evan found himself engrossed in a deep conversation with Pamela. They sat on a weathered wooden bench, surrounded by vibrant flowers and the gentle rustling of leaves. Evan, with a thoughtful expression on his face, began to articulate to Pamela the profound nature of The Black Dragons.

With each word that escaped his lips, Evan’s voice carried a sense of reverence and awe. He spoke of the ancient wisdom that had been passed down through generations, the teachings that had shaped the very essence of The Black Dragons. As he delved deeper into his narrative, his eyes sparkled with a mixture of excitement and respect.

“The Buddha nature,” Evan began, his voice filled with a sense of wonder, “is at the core of The Black Dragons. It is the guiding force that leads us on our path of self-discovery and enlightenment, accompanied with an inconceivable wisdom.” He paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink in before continuing.

He described how The Black Dragons, some also revered in the martial arts, had embraced the teachings of the Buddha to cultivate not only physical strength but also spiritual growth. Their training went beyond mere combat techniques; it encompassed a holistic approach to life, emphasizing the importance of inner peace and harmony.

Evan’s words painted a vivid picture of the Black Dragons’ training grounds, nestled amidst towering mountains and cascading waterfalls. He spoke of the rigorous discipline and unwavering dedication that each member of the elite group possessed, as they sought to embody the Buddha’s teachings in every aspect of their lives.

Pamela listened intently, her eyes fixed on Evan’s animated face. She could sense the passion and sincerity in his words, and it ignited a curiosity within her. She yearned to understand more about this ancient philosophy that had shaped the lives of the Black Dragons.

As the evening wore on, Evan continued to weave his narrative, sharing anecdotes of legendary masters who had walked the path before them. He spoke of their unwavering commitment to compassion, wisdom, and selflessness, and how these virtues had become the cornerstone of The Black Dragons’ existence.

With each passing moment, Pamela found herself drawn deeper into the world Evan described. The garden around them seemed to fade away, replaced by visions of a grand temple where the Black Dragons gathered to meditate and train. She could almost feel the energy and serenity that permeated the air, as if the very essence of the Buddha’s teachings had taken physical form.

Evan spoke with a sense of awe and reverence as he described the incredible wisdom that filled the minds of those who had transcended the sensory addicted mind. He used a metaphor of a birdcage, explaining that when the illusion of the false bird dies and the cage is opened, the virtuous one is able to recollect the unborn essence. This allows them to find the gateless gate to their original source of perfection, transcending all delusions of duality or nonduality.

Evan went on to explain that this ability to transcend the sensory addicted mind is the greatest quality and truth of the Black Dragon. There is no delusion to reject and no things to transcend, all things are equal and thus sunyata, and obstructive notions of closed or open minds are eternally ceased.

The Black Dragon, a magnificent defender of the true law, is able to cut off a thousand heads from heretic misconceptions. This allows the true lotus to blossom on its own accord, with the mind unbound, uncreated, and radiating in all ten directions, perfectly illuminating a thousand dharmas. Evan questioned how petty desire or delusion of the worldling could ever recollect such a thousand fold instant wisdom.

He explained that the most sacred and unborn mani-pearl is always radiant and clear, and it is not for anyone to defile its original bright nature with notions of good or evil. The pure desire to awake is what drove Prince Gautama to recollect what was always there for him, guided by the light of countless Tathagatas.

Evan described how, by allowing the true essence to antecede personal experience, one can enter the luminous non-personal way of the Thus come Thus gone. This is obscured and hidden to the ordinary sensory clinging mind. The form skandha is transcended, all bodies of desire vanish, and the sensation skandha is transcended, revealing the vanity of grasping. The conceptual skandha is bypassed, and notions of life and death are ceased. The volition skandha is calmed, allowing for perfect freedom to free the suffering. The sensory consciousness is crushed, and the foul architect instantly evaporated.

Evan concluded by saying that Black Dragons like Bodhidharma and Tsung-Mi intended to enable people to realize the dark penetration. They point straight at the secret entrance of the dragon’s lair, leading to the principle of the Undivided Luminosity of the Unborn Mind and Spirit.

As the sun began its descent, casting a warm golden glow across the land, Evan stood at the edge of a vast field. His outstretched arm pointed towards the horizon, where the setting sun painted a breathtaking scene. A magnificent Archway, stretching high into the heavens, seemed to beckon them forward.

With a glimmer of excitement in his eyes, Evan turned to Pamela and spoke with a voice filled with anticipation. “Once we cross the threshold of that celestial Archway,” he declared, his words carrying a sense of wonder, “we shall find ourselves in the esteemed presence of the legendary Black Dragons.”

His words hung in the air, mingling with the gentle breeze that rustled the grass beneath their feet. They exchanged glances, their hearts pounding with a mixture of trepidation and curiosity. The allure of the unknown, the promise of adventure, tugged at their souls.

The Black Dragons, whispered about in hushed tones among the adventurous souls, were also said to possess extraordinary powers. Legends spoke of their ability to shape destinies, to wield magic that could alter the course of history. To be in their noble company was a privilege sought by many, yet attained by few.

As Evan and Pamela stood at the precipice of this unknown realm, their hearts filled with a mixture of hope and trepidation. They knew that crossing the barrier of the celestial Archway would not be an ordinary journey. It would require courage, determination, and a willingness to embrace the unknown.

With a final glance at one another, they took a collective breath and stepped forward, their feet carrying them towards the radiant Archway. Each step brought them closer to a destiny intertwined with the fabled Black Dragons. The sun dipped lower, casting long shadows behind them, as they embarked on a journey that would forever enhance their spiritual quest.
