What Empowerment Really Means

Before empowerment can be understood, it must first be freed from its most persistent misunderstanding. In most contemporary spiritual discourse, empowerment is treated as something that is received, granted, or conferred through ceremonial transmission. It is imagined as a spiritual authorization, bestowed upon an individual who is deemed ready to advance along a prescribed path.
