Chapter Eight: The Dharma-body of the Tathagatas

(JK) At that time the great Bodhisattva Mañjuśri questioned the Buddha and said: “World-honored One, you have taught about the Dharma body of a Tathagata. How is this Dharma body to be characterized?” read more

The Nescience Entrenchment

(Death of Nescience:medusainfurs)

“World-Honored One, to say that the Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas now they are no more subject to future existence does not mean that they have eradicated all defilements or that they know all their rebirth. Why? The Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas still have some residual defilements not yet eradicated; therefore, they cannot know all their rebirths.  read more

The Pure Zen of the Tathagatas

A layman asked: “Though Zen is said to be transmitted outside the scriptures and not through words, there are many more incidents of monks questioning teachers and inquiring of the Way than in the teaching sects. How can Zen be said to be outside the scriptures? And can reading the records of the old masters and seeing how they dealt with koans ever be considered outside the realm of words? What is the true meaning of the statement, ‘Outside the scriptures, not through words’?”  read more

(5) The Black Dragon

When the birdcage is open and the illusion of the false bird dies
the virtuous one recollects the unborn essence.
Transcending the sensory addicted mind, finding the gateless gate to its original source of perfection.
This is a black dragon’s greatest quality and truth
No delusion to reject, no things to transcend
What battle can find nourishment in such an un-transforming mind?
All things equal and thus sunyata,
True nature luminous and vast, obstructive notions of closed or open minds
eternally cessated.
This dragon, a magnificent defender of the true law cuts off a thousand heads from heretic misconceptions.
The true lotus free to blossom on its own accord
Mind unbound, uncreated, radiating in all ten directions
perfectly illuminating a thousand dharmas.
How can petty desire or delusion of the worldling recollect such a thousand-fold instant wisdom?
This most sacred and unborn mani-pearl is always radiant and clear.
Who is he to defile its original bright nature with notions of good or evil?
The pure desire to awake is what drove Prince Gautama to recollect what was always there for him.
Guided by the light of countless Tathagatas read more

The Assumption of the Yogikaya

As an earlier post revealed, once Amoghasiddhi’s Key has been turned in the meditative act of spiritual ejaculation, the bodhi-bindu rises to the Dharmachakra and is experienced as Vairocana’s enrapturement. The yogin is now enjoined with Vairocana as the wind and mind are sown as one; thus the speech of the Tathagatas is conferred. The Tathagata speaks powerfully within the Yogic-Host; the Mind of the Tathagatas is now activated and regulates the daily rhythm of the yogin’s breath. When the breath reaches an impasse, the Tathagata still remains absorbed. There is now only the Yogikaya, the Assumption of the Yogi/Yogini’s spiritual-body into the Transcendent Body of the Tathagata. read more

Amoghasiddhi’s Key

As was mentioned in our previous blog, Amoghasiddhi rises to the occasion and releases (like that figure of a coiled snake in the base, or root chakra) the Sambodhic-juice that sparks all the other chakras and is always successful in his mission; this is why he is known as the All-Accomplishing Wisdom. Breaking this down even deeper: read more

The Generation of the Bodhibindu

SIX: THE GENERATION OF THE BODHIBINDU

Beloved and Immaculate Arya Tārā is the Sacred Vessel through which the Buddha-potential originates and is nurtured. She is ARYA—the Noble Liberator—and her Blessed Bodhi-Womb—GARBHA—houses the Self-Liberating activity. Like a mother she knows her children’s potential as Buddha-nature, and her activity as the Holy Matrix houses the Primordial Wisdom (Prajñā) that removes the veil of ignorance from all future children destined for Tathagatahood. She is the Mediatrix of all Buddhaic Blessings and as such embodies the bodhipower of all Buddhas. She is Arya Tārā—the Tārā beyond time, space and all conceptualizations. Her Bodhi-Womb is made of Unborn Light—transparent—yet always Vibrantly Productive in its Luminous Actuosity. As the Hallowed Ground of the Tathagatas she is the very nature of the Dharmadhatu Itself.  read more
